Apex Hotels Launches Modern Apprenticeship Program

October 21
20:07 2013
Apex Hotels has announced the launch of the company’s modern apprenticeship (MA) scheme, and is seeking applications from recent school or college leavers, or those looking to enter the hospitality industry for the first time.

The firm is looking for trainees in specialist areas including housekeeping, food and beverage, reception and the kitchen.

Norman Springford, owner of Apex Hotels Group, said: ‘The MA is a great way to get young people involved in the hospitality industry, and the programme offers the perfect chance to earn a wage while learning skills and gaining qualifications.’

Applicants must be aged between 16 and 24, and be capable of achieving a level 2/3/4 Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in their relevant area through work-based assessment.

Applicants should possess – or hope to gain – appropriate Standard Grade passes at Grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics, and ideally be eligible for Skills Development Scotland funding.
