Forteith Nessie lowA team of seven individuals, many from the Scottish foodservice industry, are setting out on a challenge to kayak around the perimeter of Loch Ness in support of the Oban Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre.

Just over 50 miles in circumference, Loch Ness is the largest, deepest loch in Scotland and holds more water than all the lakes in England and Wales combined.

According to John Forteith, the team – which includes Donnie MacLean and Katie Sillars of CIS Excellence Awards finalists Eat Balanced, and Alan Colley of Major Foods International – aim to paddle the loch in a single day, which they estimate could take take between 12 and 14 hours.

The challenge begins at 6am on Saturday 2nd July. You can support them by clicking on the Nessie logo above or visiting their MyDonate page at https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/504mslochness.
