Brakes Scotland has announced a collaboration with a leading Scottish tablet manufacturer.  From next month, Mrs Tilly’s tablet will be available from the foodservice supplier.

Owned by the Paterson family, which has produced premium quality fudge, tablet and macaroon for nearly two decades, Mrs Tilly’s are commissioning two new production lines to support growth and development at home and abroad.

Blair Paterson, managing director of Mrs Tillys, said: ‘From our initial meetings with Brakes Scotland at Scotland Food & Drink’s Showcasing Scotland event at Gleaneagles last year, it was clear that Brakes are focused on continuing to strengthen their Scottish range.

‘We have collaborated closely with the Brakes Scotland team to ensure we deliver product formats that are relevant to their customers and we are confident that we have achieved this.’

John Mclintock, operations director for Brakes Scotland (pictured right), added: ‘Tablet is continuing to grow in popularity and it’s important to us to source a good quality tablet brand for our customers in Scotland.

‘As we are actively looking to stock local brands and products, it’s exciting to be working with Mrs Tilly’s as they invest in new machinery to expand their operation in Larbert.’
