Edinburgh’s Contini Restaurants Expand Senior Team

The owners of Contini Restaurants, Victor and Carina Contini, have appointed two new recruits to their senior management team. As their third restaurant, Cannonball, enters it’s first full year of business, the Edinburgh-based husband-and-wife business duo welcomed Dugald McGarry as general manager, and Jenny Rutherford as head of marketing.
Previously restaurant manager at the Three Chimneys on the Isle of Skye, Dugald (pictured below) is a well-known figure in hospitality having previously worked at restaurants including The Mulroy, Kyloe and Blue.

 Jenny (pictured above), who arrives at Contini from her post as head of marketing and business development at Edinburgh Festival venue, The Hub, was previously marketing manager at Merchant’s Hall in Edinburgh.

Welcoming both, Carina Contini said:  ‘With our third Edinburgh restaurant now up and running we wanted to strengthen our senior team to ensure we have the right skills on board for 2015 and beyond.

‘Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink is a critical opportunity for us and we’re delighted to have two great hospitality professionals on board to help us build our business.’
