Fife’s food network, Food from Fife, has appointed Martha Bryce as its new coordinator.

The part-time appointment comes as the not-for-profit organisation announces a networking event for members and those interested in joining the organisation. Scheduled for the evening of 25th February at Kingsbarns Distillery, near St Andrews, the even will be free to attend and will include an opportunity to see round the new distillery, hear more on Scotland’s Year of Innovation, and meet the team behind Food from Fife.

It is open to food and drink businesses, those working in the hospitality industry and those who are simply interested in meeting other businesses in the sector.

With many years’ experience in both the tourism and food-and-drink sectors – including international and UK marketing roles at VisitScotland –  Martha (pictured) launched her own PR consultancy specialising in food and tourism.

She said: ‘The food-and-drink industry plays a powerful role in the identity and economic success of Fife.’

Food from Fife chairman, John Whitehead OBE, added: I’m looking forward to working with Martha as the organisation enters an exciting new phase of development.

There’s never been a better time to be working in food and drink here, and we are keen to develop further connections with the food and drink businesses of Fife.’

Established in 2010 to help food and tourism businesses work together better, Fife Food Network is a not for profit company whose board comprises: John Whitehead OBE; Cameron Laird; Nikki Storrar; Tom Mitchell; and Will Docker.
