Lincat, one of the world’s leading catering equipment manufacturers, has added four new energy-efficient induction hobs to its Silverlink 600 range.

The new single- twin- and four-zone models – together with a dished unit for wok cooking – are compatible with the full range of Silverlink 600 stands and pedestals.

‘These new models offer up to 90% efficiency compared to a solid electric hotplate and gas hob, which generally manage around 55 percent and 50 percent respectively,’ explains Helen Mitchell, marketing executive at Lincat.

‘They also deliver rapid heat-up and almost twice the cooking power of similarly rated gas-powered equivalents, and because heat is generated in the pan instead of on the hob surface, the cooking process is far more efficient and encourages a cooler kitchen.’

The new Lincat Induction hobs:

  • Deliver a highly responsive and controllable cooking method
  • Are manufactured at Lincat’s factory from heavy duty components
  • Help to maintain a safe and comfortable working environment
  • Operate from a 13 amp power supply,  with no special installation required
  • Feature energy-efficient induction technology to help reduce operating costs
  • Can be used with stand-alone units or with other items of Silverlink 600 equipment
  • Feature easy-to-use rotary controls, changeable filter, powerful internal cooling fan and an automatic heat function
