Middleby, a global leader in the foodservice equipment industry, has successfully completed an installation in the catering kitchens of a popular garden centre in England.

The company’s Q90 modular range of commercial catering equipment proved the ideal solution for the Enderby Café at the town’s Palmers Garden Centre.

Roger Wale, General Manager at Palmers (pictured above, far right), explains: ‘We needed a single suite of equipment which would be easy to clean and maintain, help us achieve high output and which could be easily installed and moved should the layout change in the future.

We switched from gas to electric and opted for an under-counter oven, ceramic plates, induction plates, a bain marie, a salamander grill and two 22-litre fryers.

‘The Q90 equipment has been in place since the end of March and we are delighted with the way it has integrated seamlessly into our kitchen operation.’

Engineered and manufactured at Lincat’s factory in Lincoln, the Q90 range of gas and electric equipment includes: oven ranges, boiling tops, fryers, griddles and chargrills, as well as bains marie, pasta cookers, boiling kettles, bratt pans and ambient units. All products in the Q90 range carry a comprehensive two-year on-site parts-and-labour warranty.

The Q90 at a glance:

  • Modular design
  • Quick and easy installation
  • Robust and reliable performance
  • Easy integration with existing equipment
  • 400, 800 and 1200mm widths in the range
  • Curved, hydro-formed door panels, smooth finishes and sleek handles
  • Individual items of equipment can be suited together with modular kick strips, connection strips and cover panels
