A general manager at one of Scotland’s leading hotels is among the first group of industry leaders from across the globe to graduate from the Executive Masters in Hospitality and Tourism course.

Laurie Nicol, general manager of Glasgow’s Grand Central Hotel, was awarded the exclusive qualification earlier this month:

‘It’s an honour to receive this degree alongside some of the world’s most respected and high ranking leaders in the hospitality industry,’ she said.

‘This has been an amazing journey which has afforded me the opportunity to travel across the world visiting some incredible places to work with many wonderful and interesting people.’

A partnership between three of the world’s leading universities – Cornell University in New York; L’Ecole Hôtelièr de Lausanne in Switzerland and Strathclyde University, Glasgow – the Masters course is available through the International Leadership School.
