The iconic four-star Marine Hotel in Troon has today announced a partnership that will see the first Two Fat Ladies restaurant outside Glasgow.

The brand, owned by restaurateur Ryan James, and the Marine, owned by Puma Hotels Collection made the ideal fit, according to James: ‘We’ve been considering expanding for a while, and the introduction of our first venue outside the city could not have found a better partner than Puma Hotels.

‘Those who already know us will be able to enjoy our experience at a new location, while those who are new to the Two Fat Ladies will find this the perfect introduction.’

Inspired by the Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery in the heart of Glasgow, the restaurant is due to launch as Two Fat Ladies at The Marine in early October.

Andrew Beattie will head up the kitchen, while Troon local, Ashley Hardcastle, will head up a 20-strong team of skilled waiting staff as restaurant manager.

The hotel is currently recruiting and is looking to attract staff for both the restaurant and kitchen.
