One of the largest restaurants to open in Edinburgh in recent years has been launched in the capital. Situated in Quartermile complex’s Lister Square, Hot Flame World Banquet has 250 seats inside, and room for a further 60 outside.
Featuring sections offering Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, European, Mediterranean, Thai, Italian and American BBQ, the new establishment also features live cooking stations for custom-made dishes.
Employing a total of around 20 staff, the outlet is one of the main catering attractions of Quartermile, a mixed use redevelopment of the former Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh site near The Meadows.

The restaurant’s owners currently run Hot Flame World Banquet outlets in Falkirk and Glasgow, and are due to open a fourth on the outskirts of Livingston towards the end of this year.

According to a  company spokesman, the format ‘provides diners with the opportunity to enjoy a gastronomic tour of the world.’

Customers can eat all they want from £8.99 for lunch, early evening dinner from £10.99 and dinner from £13.99. Children under 10 are charged half price.
