Aberdeen Caterer Launches Culinary Training Academy

An Aberdeen-based multi-national catering company has opened a 5,000 sq. ft purpose-built production kitchen and training academy at its headquarters in the city’s Westhill area.
The launch event saw the opening of the new facility by the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Food and the Environment Richard, Lochhead MSP, who commented: ‘ Entiér began as a small company based in the North East of Scotland and are now the largest independent contract, catering and support services company in Scotland, supporting jobs and businesses throughout the country and internationally.
‘I was impressed to hear that they source nearly 70 percent of all produce from Scotland, and I applaud this commitment to using local, seasonal produce throughout their operations. The dedication to developing the skill set of their workforce and building this fantastic new training facility is also to be commended.
‘ I wish them continued success for 2015 and beyond.’
Entiér, who were recently listed in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 for the second year running, employs over 750 staff worldwide, operate over 20 onshore contracts to local businesses and education establishments and operate 30 offshore units in eight countries.
Chief Executive Officer, Peter Bruce, added: ‘The completion of this £600,000 facility signifies another milestone in the evolution of our company, and one which reinforces our rapidly evolving status as a leading catering and support services provider.’
