Albert Bartlett has announced a new strategic partnership with tennis legend, Andy Murray, to help spread the message that nutritious food can be for everyone.
In addition to supplying premium products for the Scottish Excellence Awards, the company is a long-term supplier of potatoes to Cromlix, the Murrays’ five-star country house hotel near Dunblane.
CEO, Alex Bartlett, said: ‘Andy [pictured above] is someone who has inspired his home nation and sports fans around the world, delivering long-awaited British men’s Wimbledon wins in both 2013 and 2016, so who better to help us serve up the inspiration required to get the nation active and nourished with tasty home-grown produce?
‘However, he adds. ‘The partnership is about more than just a shared love of great food; it’s about a
long-term commitment to enable communities across the UK to bring out their best side
on the plate through shared participation in sport. Together, we will encourage the nation to enjoy a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet.’
Andy himself added: ‘I was lucky during my early playing days to have access to the kit
and facilities required to play and develop and as my career progressed to have the best
diet and training advice available. I’m excited to partner with Albert Bartlett to showcase
the importance of a balanced diet and an active lifestyle to communities across the UK, and I hope the project inspires people to play and enjoy sport throughout their lives, at whatever level they are able.’
Kicking off with a brand campaign in which Andy will showcase the ease and quality of the Albert Bartlett fresh, frozen and chilled potato ranges, the new campaign aims to help provide consumers with confidence in the kitchen.
