Several city centre Apex Hotel properties have been awarded gold Green Tourism accreditation. The hotels – City of London, Temple Court, City of Edinburgh, Waterloo Place, Edinburgh’s Grassmarket and the company’s hotel in Glasgow – join the Bath and Dundee properties in achieving the prestigious accreditation.
Recognising businesses that demonstrate exceptional environmental and social responsibility, the gold award was issued after the company was assessed against 15 key sustainability criteria and evaluated on its efforts in energy-efficiency, waste reduction, responsible sourcing and community engagement.

Sustainability initiatives include a zero-landfill policy, locally sourced produce and ongoing investments in energy-efficient technologies. The hotel group also supports a range of national charities, including Maggie’s Cancer Centres and Mind, alongside local community initiatives.
Gold accreditation has now been achieved across all the group’s properties.
