Brakes Scotland Receives ASSIST National Chair Award

CIS Excellence Awards Young Chef of the Year sponsor, Brakes Scotland, has received the National Chair Award from the Association of Service Solutions Scotland (ASSIST). The accolade was presented at the organisation’s recent awards dinners in Glasgow. According to management, the award was given in recognition both for Brakes Scotland’s new Scottish product ranges and support for local communities.
Chris Boyle, Brakes’ channel head for public sector (pictured left), said: ‘We invest in local communities by focusing on getting people into work, providing access to regular meals and activities for children throughout school holidays, and also giving local community‐based organisations the practical support to help others.
ASSIST’s Alistair McIntyre (pictured centre with compère Sean Batty, right), said: ‘The award was well-earned; Brakes are doing a super job with communities and charities across Scotland and I felt that should be reflected with this award. It demonstrates that it’s not all about the business but about helping the people as well.’
