Brakes Scotland Recognised for Landfill Diversion Efforts
Foodservice specialists Brakes Scotland have been recognised by ACM Environmental’s newly introduced Greener Path Awards Scheme, for their contribution towards landfill diversion.
Developed in association with the British Council for Sustainable Development, the Greener Path Awards were created to celebrate the efforts businesses across the UK are making to reduce the impact they have on the environment.
Organisations which have demonstrated ‘exemplary effort and achievement in minimising waste, boosting recycling and increasing landfill diversion, while seeking out innovative and sustainable ways to handle waste streams’, have been recognised.
Having achieved landfill diversion of 100% in the last 12 months, Brakes are, according to a source, ‘constantly looking at ways to minimise our impact on the planet and ensure our supply chain is as sustainable as possible, and are delighted to be recognised with this award.
