Dunns Food and Drinks, in partnership with Queen’s Park, has announced a new initiative to support young people through Aware Scotland that will see Scotland’s oldest football club provide coaching sessions and experiences for young people facing adversity.
Over the next year, the partnership will deliver a range of initiatives, including:
- Free match tickets: More than 50 free tickets will be provided to Aware Scotland
- Mascot opportunity: A young person supported by the charity will be chosen as the club’s mascot
- Bucket collections: Funds raised at Queen’s Park home games will support Aware Scotland
- Match experiences: Dunns Food and Drinks will offer young people the chance to attend training sessions, games, and press conferences
Chris Glancey, Founder of Aware Scotland, said: ‘This partnership provides invaluable opportunities for young people, and by offering experiences like this we can help build confidence, resilience and a brighter future.’
Julie Dunn, Operations Director at Dunns Food and Drinks, added: ‘Our company has a long history of giving back to the community and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this partnership will have on the lives of young people.’
As part of the collaboration, two young people supported by Aware Scotland, Calum Alexander and Liam Reynolds, enjoyed a special day at Queen’s Park, including a stadium tour, meeting with club star Dom Thomas, and receiving their own Queen’s Park strips.
