The principal of a top Scottish cookery school has been crowned Personality of the Year at the British Cookery School Awards (BCSA).
Ian Pirrie, head of the Edinburgh School of Food and Wine (ESFW), was nominated for the award at Porchester Hall in London last week.
Claire Sawkins, Director of the BCSA, said: ‘Ian has given us great feedback each year and some of his friends and workmates past and present have, without prompting, told us how they recognise his abilities, that he’s a fabulous mentor and his personality shines through both in and out of the kitchen.’
Ian (pictured, centre) took over the running of ESFW in 2008 after a successful career in the finance sector.
