Chartered surveyors and business valuation experts, Graham and Sibbald, have announced the sale of a former pub-hotel in the village of Weem, near Aberfeldy.
The B-listed Weem Hotel, which dates from the 1500s and was originally used by General Wade during the construction of the nearby Wade Bridge, ceased trading in 2019 and over the intervening years has undergone some strategic refurbishment works. Now equipped with 18 modern letting bedrooms, a restaurant and bar in addition to an inviting outdoor terrace, the Weem Inn is now owned by a local Perthshire businessman. Hotel and leisure consultant, Alastair Letham, said: ‘Over the years, the Weem Inn has enjoyed excellent patronage as a popular destination for visitors, passing trade. It is in an excellent and popular location for a broad range of tourism and outdoor sporting activities, and this is a great opportunity for the new owner to restore it to its former glory.’
