Chartered surveyors and business valuation experts, Graham and Sibbald, have announced the internal promotions of several key personnel within the business.
Michael Gill and Calum McKenzie (pictured above, L-R) have both been promoted to Director, while Murdo McAndrew has been promoted to Associate level.
Joining Graham and Sibbald in 2016 as a graduate surveyor, Michael can assist the partners and other directors in the growth of the Edinburgh office.
Calum joined the company as a senior surveyor within the residential department at the beginning of 2023 and was later promoted to associate in April 2024. With over seven years’ experience in the industry, he too specialises in residential valuation and carries out a number of surveys on a daily basis for the purpose of home reports, mortgage valuations, EPCs for all major lenders in the UK as well as many local solicitors, estate agents and private clients. Michael and Calum have established strong relationships with their clients and offer local expertise which can be relied upon. They both enjoy interacting and establishing relationships with both existing and new clients.’
Additionally, Murdo McAndrew (pictured left) joined G&S’s commercial agency team in 2018 as a graduate surveyor with a BA (Hons) in Business Management before completing his Masters in Real Estate while working at Graham and Sibbald.
Supported by Partner, Ross Wilson and the rest of the team, he has been supporting graduates across all offices by starting up quarterly graduate workshops, including APC training, business development tips, talks from guest speakers and networking opportunities.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen-based Sara Mathieson (pictured below), an associate valuer, has been promoted to Director. With over 15 years’ experience within the Scottish commercial property market, she specialises in providing commercial valuation advice to a range of clients for acquisition and secured lending purposes, as well as valuations of property portfolios for financial statements.

Recent projects include assisting with the valuation of a large portfolio for a public sector client, and providing valuation advice in respect of a substantial diverse portfolio within the local authority and private sectors.
