Chartered surveyors and business valuation experts, Graham and Sibbald, have announced the sale of a popular hotel in Glenfinnan, in the Highlands.
An outstanding nine-bedroom boutique property located on a prominent plot in Glenfinnan, the Prince’s House is moments away from the famous Glenfinnan viaduct, famous for its starring role in the Harry Potter movies.
New owners, Kirsty Mann and Rona Barr (pictured above) – who intend to restore the hotel’s name to the Stage House – expressed their delight at the acquisition: ‘The Prince’s House is a remarkable historic property with a strong legacy.
‘Clare Wilson and her team at Lindsays pulled out all the stops for us and the launch of our business would not have been possible without their effort, diligence and patience. We thank them and also Emily Hewitson of Graham and Sibbald.’
Emily, a Chartered Surveyor at Graham and Sibbald, added: ‘This outstanding hotel has proven itself to be a key player in Glenfinnan, which attracts large numbers of visitors throughout the year. We were delighted to work with the sellers to find a buyer who can breathe new life into the property and carry on the best of Highland hospitality.’
Clare Wilson, a Glasgow-based partner in the commercial property team at Lindsays, provided legal advice to the new owners: ‘This is a property with tremendous potential for the business to grow and attract many different types of visitors, from Harry Potter fans to walkers and people touring the Highlands.
‘When hotels like this come onto the market, there is always strong interest from investors, especially in prime locations such as this.
‘Rona and Kirsty have extensive experience in the sector and I know they’re excited about how they can develop the hotel and its offering.’
