HIT Scotland Gran Paradiso Team Reach New Heights

The HIT Scotland Gran Paradiso climbing team made it to the first stage of their ascent of the Italian mountain by reaching Rifugio Chabod at over 9,000 feet on Friday 30th May.
According to a member of the team, the initial ascent was bathed in glorious sunshine but was followed by an unexpected change of plan when the guides felt the snow was too soft for a glacier traverse to Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele.
The final push to the summit was scheduled for yesterday morning, and we will update you on news of their progress as soon as we receive it.
