Hoshizaki Introduce the Revolutionary New IceBall Maker
When bartenders need something to give their drinks an extra special edge, ice machine manufacturer Hoshizaki has a highly original solution: ice balls!
The Hoshizaki IM-65NE-Q is a revolutionary new machine which produces balls of ice rather than cubes, and is the only machine of its type in the world.
Designed with hygiene as a priority, the IM-65NE-Q utilises a closed cell ice-making system with an automatic rinse-and-flush cycle. After each new batch, the water reservoir drains, rinses and refills with fresh water.
Meanwhile, the easy-to-clean storage bin has high density foam-injected insulation to extend the life of the cubes, while a gasket on the insulated door ensures that contaminating particles are kept out of the storage bin.
With a capacity of up to 26kg of ice per day, and 17kgs of storage, Hoshizaki’s new innovation offers several advantages over traditional ice cubes:
- Rounded surface prevents sticking
- Makes a stunning visual statement, particularly in hi-ball glasses
- Ice balls melt even more slowly than Hoshizaki’s slow-melting cube ice
- Each ball is made individually by a dedicated jet spray to ensure highest possible ice quality
