Industry figures To Offer Advice at Scottish F&D Conference

Scottish food-and-drink businesses will receive expert advice from successful industry leaders next month at the Going Places with Scotland’s Food and Drink Industry Conference, to be held at Perth Concert Hall on 5th March.
David Moore, a former managing director at Diageo, will be joined by Richard Lochhead MSP and James Withers, Scotland Food & Drink Chief Executive.
Meanwhile, Albert Roux will outline how he believes food-and-drink manufacturers and producers can grow their business at home and abroad.
Mr Moore, who recently returned to Scotland to establish his own consultancy, will provide delegates with an insight into Chinese and Asian market opportunities, and the lessons he believes can be taken from New Zealand.
The conference – which is being jointly organised by Perth & Kinross Council, Scottish Enterprise, Scotland Food & Drink and SAC Food and Drink – will also feature several workshops, including:
– Reaching new markets
– Growing your international business
– How to reach new customers and products
– How to use online media to connect with customers and consumers
James Withers, Scotland Food & Drink chief executive (pictured) said: ‘Events like this provide an excellent platform for those in the food-and-drink industry to share opportunities both at home and abroad, and to grow their long-term aspirations.’
