The UK has a new player on the food-packaging scene. David Martin, formerly of Herald and H-Pack, has announced the launch of his new supply business, DJ Packaging.
Supplying an extensive range of both printed and plain disposable packaging items, from paper cups, wooden cutlery, straws, stirrers and other auxiliary items, to takeaway food and lunch boxes, paper snack plates, noodle boxes, cake boxes, pizza boxes and French fries and burger containers, the company recently partnered with Brawne Pak to ensure a wide selection of high quality containers.
With a solid track record in foodservice, David has extensive knowledge of the industry: ‘There have been many issues surrounding distribution, pricing and quality of goods in recent years,’ he says. ‘Working independently, I believe I can surpass these issues by making best use of my contacts and providing a service that is tailored to meet the needs of the individual.
‘I’ve built up a solid, credible contacts base over the years, with both customers and suppliers loyal to me personally.

The company’s recent import partnership with Brawnepak is a case in point, including the importation of the full range of mixed containers.
‘The way forward is flexibility,’ he adds.
Based in the North, DJ Packaging supplies to customers across the UK and beyond. It pledges to adhere to a competitive pricing structure and the offer of a personal service as it builds its product lines.
