Portavadie hotel and marina has announced the refurbishment of its foodservice facilities.
The installation of the new equipment at the resort’s café on the shores of Loch Fyne, was undertaken by Glasgow-based catering equipment suppliers, Quality Equipment Distributors (QED).
The project centred around the company’s new Spa & Leisure Café for daily users of the resort’s outdoor heated pools, spa, sauna and gym facilities.

With built-in refrigerated under-storage capabilities, the Italian-style counter and bar complements the other kitchen equipment supplied by QED for the new café, including a pizza oven, dishwasher, refrigerators, food preparation tables, bottle coolers and sinks.
The entire project was carried out by QED’s own design and shopfitting team, under the supervision of managing director, Robert Campbell.
Iain Jurgensen, general manager of Portavadie said: ‘We are hugely ambitious organisation, and we needed a supplier who match our high standards. Our vision has always been one of clean lines with no clutter and we like to develop facilities which picture-frame our surroundings.
‘QED have managed to pull that vision into a very workable space, and we’re very happy with the outcome.’
