Scotland’s leading trade event for the food, drink, hospitality and tourism industries is returning to the SECC Glasgow from 15th-16th March 2017. Organised in collaboration with Scottish Tourism Week (STW), the exhibition promises to be the sector’s trade event of the year.

Managing Director of Fresh Montgomery, Toby Wand, said: ‘As a place where businesses can trade and head hunt – and a platform for chefs to showcase their skills and experts to trade knowledge – ScotHot is a beneficial experience for everyone in hospitality. We expect to welcome over 100 new exhibitors that haven’t been to the show before and we’re looking forward to a packed diary of activity.’

Marc Crothall, Chief Executive of Scottish Tourism Alliance, added: ‘As one of five STW Signature events, ScotHot is the perfect complement to our own National Tourism Conference. This coming year we will be developing a Spotlight Stage programme that will form part of the our own Signature Conference agenda.scothot-5

‘The food and drink experience is such a fundamental part of our tourism offer and one for which thousands of visitors travel to Scotland to enjoy.’

New features for ScotHot 2017 include: Staff Canteen Live aims to showcase the skills of some of the UK’s leading chefs; the Liquid Academy Live will host a number of speakers to demonstrate innovation in Scotland’s drinks industry; and the Scottish Culinary Championships, sponsored by Compass Group, will return for its 32nd  year in 2017 and includes the Scottish Chef of the Year and Scottish Junior Chef of the Year.

Meanwhile, sponsored by Scottish Tourism Alliance, the Spotlight Stage will feature expert speakers from hospitality and tourism businesses who will share their experiences and insight on some of the most pertinent issues of the moment.

‘Our 2017 partnership with ScotHot will provide the anticipated 8,000 delegates with a one-stop experience, providing the opportunity to network, meet suppliers and return to their own businesses with knowledge, inspiration and ideas.’

With a heritage dating back over 40 years, ScotHot brings together suppliers of food and drink, catering equipment, tableware, technology  and décor and design with buyers from hotels, restaurants, bars, catering outlets and tourism destinations.  Registrations for the event go live today. Visit for the latest news, exhibitor information and to register.
