Catering Scotland

Entries are now being invited for Scottish Wholesale Achievers 2015.

Organised by the Scottish Wholesale Association, Achievers aims to raise standards and reward outstanding performance across the trade in Scotland. Any wholesaler with a depot in Scotland (whether or not an SWA member) may enter before the closing date of Friday 18th July 2014.

The categories include:

• BEST CASH & CARRY DEPOT
• BEST SYMBOL GROUP
• BEST DELIVERED OPERATION (RETAIL)
• BEST DELIVERED OPERATION (ON-TRADE)
• BEST DELIVERED OPERATION (FOODSERVICE)
• CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY AWARD
• BEST MARKETING INITIATIVE
• EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
• GREAT PLACE TO WORK
• CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

Kate Salmon, executive director of the Edinburgh-based SWA, said: ‘ Achievers is challenging competition which helps wholesalers focus both on their strengths and areas they want to develop.

‘Similarly, it helps the supporting suppliers forge stronger relationships with the industry, because being involved in the judging process allows them to really understand the many diverse wholesale businesses operating in Scotland.

I would encourage all members and non-members to get involved.’

The awards evening takes place at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh, on Thursday, 12th February 2015.
