Ship Inn Elie Wins Scottish AA Pub of the Year 2016

The Ship Inn at Elie in Fifie has been awarded AA Pub of the Year. Owners Rachel and Graham Bucknall said: ‘We have loved the Ship Inn for many years as customers and we have always known it could be a world-class venue.
‘On a personal level, we are also very proud to have won this award twice in the last three years, having also won it in 2014 with the Bridge Inn at Ratho. Since winning that, the Bridge Inn has continued to improve and grow and we now look forward to continuing on this same journey with the Ship Inn.’
Also at the awards, The Cross at Kingussie (Head Chef David Skiggs pictured below left with presenter awards Hugh Dennis and Restaurant Manager, Richard Deak) was awarded three AA Rosettes. Meanwhile, Cromlix Hotel in Perthshire scooped AA Hotel of the Year – Scotland, and Inver Restaurant at Strachur in Argyll & Bute was named AA Restaurant of the Year 2016.
The AA Hospitality Awards took place earlier this week at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel. The full list of winners is available at www.aahospitalityawards.com.
