Springboard Sets Sights on Nepal for Charity Trek

Springboard has announced Nepal as the destination for the charity’s 2017 trek. Taking place from 9th–21st March, the five-day Himalayan trek will be followed by a three-day community project to rectify earthquake damage at Manju Shree School.
With a fundraising target of £135,000, the 36 available places are available on a first-come-first-served basis. CEO Anne Pierce said: ‘Annual treks and community projects are much-valued and sought-after experiences. Those involved are able to challenge themselves mentally and physically, meet like-minded individuals from the industry, and give back to others less fortunate than themselves.
‘The annual trek is also an important source of income for Springboard and has a major impact on people’s lives.’
All funds raised will contribute towards the charity’s range of programmes and activities which help young people and unemployed adults find work in the UK hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors.
