The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews has announced the appointment of Stephen Carter OBE as general manager, effective today.

With a career spanning almost 40 years, Stephen (pictured) has worked with leading hotels throughout the UK – notably as managing director of De Vere Cameron House on Loch Lomond – and ‘brings a unique, community-driven perspective to the role,’ according to the Old Course Hotel’s director of operations, David Scott. ‘His expertise in the hospitality sector and his impressive achievements in Scotland will bring something truly unique to our offering,’ Mr Scott added.
